Lanark student is made up with industry gong

A BUDDING Lanark make-up artist definitely has the Max Factor – winning a prestigious industry gong for the second successive year.

Laura Jane McMillan, who studies at West College Scotland, picked up her second successive award in the Association of Hairdressing and Therapists (AHT) regional competition.

The HND Make-up Artistry student was understandably “made up” to gain a second place for face painting.

Laura Jane said: “Taking part in competitions like this is fantastic for my CV and gives me the opportunity to network with people within the industry.

“The standard of work was extremely high so I was delighted to have taken second place in the face painting category.”
