Lanarkshire women in the spotlight

Leading women in the world of business in Lanarkshire are being invited to enter this year’s Business Women Scotland Awards.

The key themes this year are collaboration and sustainability, watch words reflecting the changing ways we have been doing business since the start of the pandemic.

Start-up businesses, women in tech and social media are also among the categories at the awards, back for a seventh year.

The awards mark the achievements and entrepreneurial talents of women across Scotland

Entries are now open in categories ranging from Rising Star of the Year to Established Business of the Year and Inspirational Woman of the Year.

New categories this year include Collaboration Award, Sustainable Business Award and Women in Tech Award.

Supported by Scotland Can-Do, Business Gateway, STV, Digital Boost and Azure Global, the awards ceremony on November 19 will be online.

The overall winner will receive a two-week airtime campaign with Go Radio and production of a commercial.

Lynne Kennedy, Business Women Scotland founder, said: “We want to showcase some of the most enterprising and successful women from around Scotland: women who’ve had the courage to follow their dreams, whether that be starting their own business, making it to the top in their career, or using their expertise and knowledge to help other women.
