Standing at 1,140 sqm of retail space, the Crown Street store is run by store manager Matt McGarvey, along with a team of 24 colleagues from the local community.

The new store offers large chillers and freezers dedicated to fresh, Scottish meat products, a ‘Food to Go’ section at the front of the store, a fixture along the back wall showcasing Aldi’s award winning Beers, Wines and Spirits, and an exclusive section full of Health & Beauty products.

Store Manager Matt said: “It was lovely to meet our new customers at the Crown Street store.

“The new store opened with social distancing guidelines in place to ensure the health and safety of our customers and colleagues. We would like to thank customers for their patience and support in adhering to these safety measures.”

To celebrate the store opening, Aldi Crown Street is donating groceries to local foodbanks, National Food Service Community Meals and Pollokshields Development Agency Covid-19 Support, which provide the most vulnerable in the community with access to food supplies.
