In line with the latest Scottish Government guidance, the wearing of face coverings was compulsory unless shoppers had a medical condition or another reason not to wear one.

A number of additional safety measures have been introduced to ensure customer and staff safety, including a one way system, clear signage to remind customers of the need to social distance, and enhanced cleaning processes.

General manager David Pierotti said: “It has been great to welcome back our customers to the centre.

“We’ve been working hard behind the scenes for the past few months to get everything ready, and we’ve introduced a range of measures to keep everyone safe.

“We know that this new way of shopping is going to take some getting used to, but it was brilliant to see Silverburn and Glasgow open for business again.”
