Home within home in Bellshill linked to major Coronavirus outbreak

Since then 17 more residents tested positive in the home’s Shirrell Unit.

It has been reported that three of the residents are currently in hospital.

The home has been closed to visitors.

Its spokesperson said: “We can confirm that a coronavirus outbreak is currently being contained in one of the five separate buildings. We are taking all necesssary precautions to minimise the risks of transmission to other colleagues and residents.”
