Positive test for Covid-19 identified at Glasgow Southside primary school

Contacts of someone at St Monica’s Primary School in Pollok who has tested positive for Coronavirus are being traced by NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC).

The NHSGGC Test and Protect team is carrying out Covid-19 contact tracing, although at this time there is no evidence of transmission within the school.

To respect and maintain patient confidentiality, no further details are being released but NHSGGC can confirm close contacts are being advised to self-isolate and being given advice and support.

Apart from those who are identified as close contacts, all other staff and pupils can continue to attend as normal.

NHSGGC says there is no risk to the wider community.
