Fire prevention campaign launched at Lanark
THE clue is in its name when it comes to the special dangers of dealing with wildfires in the Clydesdale countryside.
Totally unpredictable and changeable at a second’s notice, they present not only the public but firefighters with special hazards.
And, although it is still a few months from the time of year when they are at their summer height, the team at Lanark Fire Station is already planning ahead to prevent as many of these outbreaks as possible this year.
