Free help for stress and depression through groundbreaking NHS Lanarkshire course

A free online stress control resource can be viewed on repeat tomorrow (Thursday April 16) at 2pm and 8.30pm as therapy available across NHS Lanarkshire boundaries move online.

The pioneering classes were developed in Scotland using key cognitive behavioural therapy techniques which have helped thousands in Lanarkshire - and have been rolled out across the globe.

Their creator, Dr Jim White, will lead the classes which run twice a day on Mondays and Thursdays via Youtube. There are six sessions in total.

Dr Simon Stuart, clinical psychologist with NHS Lanarkshire, said: “In these very challenging times, it’s more valuable than ever that people can continue to get access to this kind of high-quality intervention. Everyone will find something to benefit them from Dr White’s excellent idea.”

For more information go to http://stresscontrol.org, where you can learn more about the classes, find all the dates, and get the link to the YouTube channel where the sessions will be streaming.

Each class runs for 90 minutes with a 10 minute break.
