Minister opens new life-changing centre

Aileen Campbell MSP, Minister for Public Health and Sport, visited the new MS Therapy Centre in Govan to officiate at the opening ceremony.

She did the honours by cutting a ribbon and helping to unveil an artwork designed and produced by Revive client Jane Sinclair.

The artwork showcases the major donors and supportersinvolved in the campaign to raise £1million for the move from Maryhill to Govan.

The Minister spent time with staff and clients to gain an understanding of the vital work of Revive MS Support and praised the charity for managing to raise this amount in under 2 years to buy and fit out the new facility.

Charity CEO Iain Morrison, said: “We are delighted to welcome the Minister to Revive, and to have the opportunity to showcase the breadth of the work we do in offering much needed support to people living with Multiple Sclerosis.”

Ms Campbell said: “I was delighted to officially open Revive MS Support’s new centre, and really impressed by the high standards of care and support which this new facility delivers. I saw for myself how dedicated the Revive team are in their unique, personalised approach to enhancing the wellbeing of people with MS.

“I’m confident this new facility will greatly enhance the provision of services, and ultimately the quality of life, for people who live with MS, and I’m proud that Scottish Government was able to provide funding to support the establishment of the centre.”
