People in East Renfrewshire are invited to give blood

Blood donors are being encouraged to attend a couple of sessions being held in East Renfrewshire this week.

Scotblood is hoping many donors in East Renfrewshire will come forward to give blood - and help save lives.

Scotblood – the Scottish Blood Transfusion Service – will be at St Thomas’ Church Hall, Main Street, Neilston, on Monday, July 1, from 4pm to 7.30pm; and St John’s Parish Church, Aurs Road, Barrhead, on Wednesday, July 3, from 2pm to 3.30pm, and 5pm to 7.30pm.

Within 24 hours of giving blood, your donation is ready to save lives.

Scotblood aims to aims to stock six days’ worth of each blood type at all times, but currently some blood types are below this level.
