Positive blethers aboutkey mental health issues

A Lanarkshire charity has teamed up with the See Me campaign to deliver workplace workshops designed to tackle the stigma and discrimination that surrounds mental ill health.

The Hope Café Lanarkshire Bun & A Blether project delivers free 90 minute workshops to workplaces across Lanarkshire and sees colleagues coming together over tea and cake where conversations take place to help stamp out the stigma and discrimination that surrounds mental health.

Carla Maxwell, workshop facilitator, said: “We tailor each workshop to each organisation that we visit.

“We liaise with them in advance to see what issues there are in their workplace.”

She added: “We provide suggestions that organisations can implement and ask staff to make personal pledges and what they would like to see change within their organisation.”
