Actors wanted for new BJ McComis production

HE might be Clydesdale’s very own Noel Coward but theatre director and producer BJ McComis is, er, no coward.

The Biggar-based BJ’s most recent production raised a few eyebrows, this being of The Calendar Girls, the story of the Womens Institute ladies who bared all for charity.

Now he is working on his main 2015 show and, in a very different way, it is probably even more controversial than his last!

The March show in Biggar will be Inherit the Wind, a pre-war play turned into a hit film in 1960, starring the great Spencer Tracy as the veteran lawyer who defended a young Tennessee teacher for daring to educate his class in evolution.

Anyone who wants to try for a part in what is still a controversial work can contact BJ directly on 01899 220585.

He will then organise a proper audition.
