Agriculture has one in five fatal injuries

JUST over one in a hundred of those employed works in agriculture, but it accounts for about one in five fatal injuries to workers.

As the leading body for rural youth in Scotland, the Scottish Association of Young Farmers (SAYFC) feels it is essential that they act on this to ensure members are equipped with the knowledge they need to help reduce these figures.

The dangers in the rural sector are part of everyday life and cannot be changed.
