Author Andy can’t wait for first novel to be published

LANARKSHIRE author Andy Livingstone’s first novel will be available in just a few months, on June 1.

Hero Born, to be published as an ebook, is the first in a series of three epic fantasy novels.

Andy was one of just a handful of new authors, and the only Scot, to be signed from among more than 5000 applicants after a worldwide search by HarperVoyager.

They are publishers of Lord of the Rings author JRR Tolkein, George RR Martin of Game of Thrones fame and many of the fantasy genre’s current best-selling writers.

The trilogy was snapped up by the publishing giant and things are now getting busy for Andy, who works as a press officer with South Lanarkshire Council.

Andy said: “It is going to be a hectic, but really exciting few months. The finishing touches are being put to the book’s cover, so that will be revealed fairly soon, and the editing is in full swing to make sure all is ready for June 1.”
