Award for Newton Mearns slimming expert Kirsty

A weight-loss expert from Newton Mearns has won a sparkling silver award for the exceptional work she does in helping members who meet at Broom Church lose weight.

Kirsty scooped the award thanks to her success in supporting slimmers.

Kirsty, who runs three Slimming World groups, has been given the ‘Silver’ status by the national slimming organisation because of her success in supporting local slimmers to reach their dream weight, improve their health and change their lives.

The accolade is awarded to Slimming World consultants, who have 100 members or more in their group returning week after week because they are losing weight beautifully and would not miss their weekly group for anything.

It is the first time Kirsty has been awarded the prize since becoming a consultant in December 2017.

Kirsty said: “I am delighted to have received the ‘Silver’ award for the group at Broom Church, and it feels extra-special to be awarded it in Slimming World’s 50th birthday year.

“I feel passionate about helping people to transform their lives by losing weight in the same way that I did when I lost two and a half stone with Slimming World in 2016.

“Seeing the members in my groups – mums, dads, aunts, uncles, grandmas, grandads, and young people too – reach their target weight is so rewarding and receiving this award is just the icing on the cake!”

She continued: “This award belongs to the Broom Church group members too. They’re the ones who make our group the success that we are, with their fabulous commitment, the wonderful support they give each other every week.”
