Biggar Ramblers book set to be launched
TWO members of Biggar Ramblers have written a must have read for all local hillwalkers exploring Upperward villages.
Written by Rosemary Turpie and Ian Gilchrist, the book describes ten short walks in and around historic villages in the Upper Valleys of the Clyde and the Tweed, covering Coulter, Lamington, Symington, Thankerton and Covington, Pettinain, Crawfordjohn, Skirling, Broughton, Drumelzier and Tweedsmuir.
Copies of the book, priced at £7.95, will be available from local bookshops in Biggar and Peebles or direct from [email protected].
The book launch itself takes place on Thursday, April 16, from 7pm to 9pm at the Elphinstone Hotel in Biggar High Street.
