The recently launched Butterfly Conservation Bog Squad will be hosting a volunteer work party at Braehead Moss in August and the group is looking for volunteers to go and help them try to restore the peatland to its former glory.

Peatland restoration project officer Sara Green said: “We work on sites across the Central Belt, where we undertake small-scale restoration work, such as installing plastic dams and removing scrub, as well as some survey work.
