The concert was organised by the church’s Friends of Kenya in aid of an orphanage in Kiambaa.

The concert raised almost £500 which will be used to help feed, clothe and educate the children who call the orphanage home. The orchestra performed a varied programme including old favourites such as Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and Radetzky March. It was the youngest members of the orchestra who stole the show with Ellie, Christopher and Beth each performing a solo to the delight of the audience and the rest of the orchestra.

Carluke Primrose Orchestral Flutes are now rehearsing for the SAFA spring contest to be held in Troon on May 13.
