Carluke Primrose entertain at annual concert

Marshall Pretswell presented the many musical pieces to the audience which were chosen by conductor John Bryce.

Among the highlights from the concert were the Primrose performing the theme from Raiders of the Lost Ark, Elgar’s Pomp and Circumstance and the famous Waltz Number 2 from Shotakovich’s The Jazz Suite.

The audience were also treated to some great pieces from the orchestra’s youth group who entertained with a few pieces of their own.

The orchestras president, Dougie Russell said: “We would like to thank all of those who supported the orchestra and for the kind words of appreciation they made to the members during and after the concert ”
