Castalian Quartet will perform in Lanark

MUSIC in Lanark’s final concert before the summer break will see the Castalian String Quartet entertain locals, on Saturday, March 9.

In a change to previous Music in Lanark events, the concert will be staged in the St Mary’s Clubrooms rather than the New Lanark Institute with organisers hoping that it will attract more people to the event.

Music in Lanark chairman Jamie Hill said: “This is partly to experiment with an intimate atmosphere for a chamber music concert, and partly to encourage those in the town who don’t like to travel at night to come along.

“The Quartet are obviously a super-talented group, with an impressive collection of awards and concerts in prestigious venues and festivals.
