Catch the Leadhills Santa Express!
Volunteers at the Leadhills and Wanlockhead Railway have been working hard to get Clyde, their workhorse engine ready to greet the big man himself.
After a successful year, they are now ready to welcome visitors for their Santa weekend, this Saturday and Sunday, December 3 and December 4, from 10am until 3.30pm.
Children can travel on the train to Glengonnar and post their letters to Santa, then visit the mining museum in Wanlockhead and receive a present from Santa himself in the mine, weather permitting.
This is an extremely popular weekend and train places are limited. Booking is highly recommended, and the booking phone line is the museum on 01659 74387.
