Altogether they raised £4700 at the biennial show, to be shared by various groups and bringing the total they have raised over the past 42 years to £104,900!

Over 140 dancers took part in this year’s show.

“It was great being back in the Memorial Hall, with the proper stage and the lighting,” said dance teacher Celia Orr.

And explaining how the recipients were chosen, Celia added: “This is payback time for everyone. There is one national charity and all the other groups are local.”
