Almost 30 Choral Union members travel to New York City later this month and will sing in one of the world’s most iconic theatres, Carnegie Hall, in a performance of Karl Jenkins’ The Peacemakers.

The singers will spend five days in the Big Apple and nine to 10 hours rehearsing ahead of the big performance on January 19.

With the performance less than two weeks away Shena has also made a list ditch effort to secure sponsorship.

The Choral Union members themselves have already raised a whopping £4,500 for the trip.

And Shena believes that this is an opportunity of a lifetime for the members and her husband Philip who has been conducting the Choral Union for over four decades.

Any local people or businesses who would like to sponsor the Choral Union on this trip should contact Shena on 07790 676676 or email [email protected].
