Christmas Market heralds switch-on of Lanark lights

A FEAST of festive family fun is set to take place in Lanark on Saturday as the town’s Christmas lights are switched on.

In the morning the annual Christmas Market will transform the High Street into a festive wonderland and shoppers’ paradise with 80 stalls and a selection of funfair rides including Christmas Carousel.

Then in the afternoon, Clyde One’s Knoxy will be the host with a mix of music, games and prizes keeping the crowd entertained until the lights are switched on just after 5pm.

A Christmas Chartbusters Review Show, featuring chart hits from the last 40 years as well as some Christmas classics, will warm the crowd up before the big finale.

Most Popular

Provost Eileen Logan will be joined on stage by Santa, the Lanimer Queen, the Lord Cornet and Knoxy for the countdown to the switch-on.
