Church's support for Mission Aviation Fellowship

Greenview Church in Pollokshaws has organised many charitable events over the years, but this year is going to be special, very special!

Saturday, September 1 from 10.30am – 5,00pm will be a day in support of Mission Aviation Fellowship and the church is planning to put a full size Cessna Aircraft in the car park along with a very impressive new flight simulator.

There will also be a marquee with sales stall, and a team challenge event suitable for all age groups, with a prize for the winning team. And if you feel like a cup of tea or coffee our café will be open all day from 10.30am – 5pm.

After a snack you can take time to watch some remarkable video footage of MAF ‘flying for Life’ in some of the world’s remotest places.

Mission Aviation Fellowship enable thousands of aid, relief and mission projects in really remote places. Because that’s where some of the greatest human needs are.

In today’s ‘connected world’, the irony is that never have so many people been so isolated.

Flying onto desert and jungle airstrips, lakes and rivers, tracks and roads, MAF’s light aircraft and their mission pilots go the extra miles to provide a lifeline.
