Competition: Pollokshields residents invited to share their snaps

The UK's leading retirement housebuilder, McCarthy and Stone, has teamed up with The Extra to invite local people to capture the essence of Pollokshields for its community inspired photography competition.

As construction of its Merchants Gate Retirement Living development continues in the popular Glasgow Southside area of Pollokshields, the team at McCarthy and Stone has launched a photography competition inspired by the charm and history of this local conservation area.

Budding amateur photographers are invited to enter the competition, which will challenge people to capture photographs that showcase the local features and attractions that are quintessentially or iconically Pollokshields.

Each of the three winning photographs will also be displayed in Merchants Gate for future McCarthy and Stone homeowners to enjoy.
