Countdown is on for Carluke’s Ham and Jam Festival

WITH just five weeks to go, the countdown is well and truly on for Carluke’s Ham and Jam Festival.

The programme is currently being finalised but it is hoped that there will be something for everyone including a senior citizens concert courtesy of the Jolly Beggars and the School Chorus, which was such a huge favourite last year.

A Jam and Ham Combo – featuring some of the best talent the town has to offer – will be held in Carluke High School on Thursday, October 2. The must see show will be a combination of theatre with Carluke’s very own Kirkton Players performing a one act play entitled In A Blinking Of An Eye.

There will also be music from Carluke Primrose Orchestral Flutes, members of Carluke Amateur Operatic Society will tread the boards with a set from their forthcoming show and Carluke High School students will showcase their talents.

The live music continues on Friday and Saturday night with Pub Jamming Sessions in the town.
