Crowd of 300 welcomed Santa to Carluke on Christmas Eve

A festive crowd of 300 people braved the freezing weather on Christmas Eve to enjoy carol singing and welcome Santa to Carluke’s Market Square.

The event got underway with carols sung by members of Carluke Amateur Operatic Society, who warmed everyone’s spirits in the biting cold.

The scene was an even more merry one when Santa took time out of his very hectic Christmas Eve schedule to give out juicy oranges to the delighted youngsters.
