

The production, which ran from Tuesday, June 3, to Thursday, June 5, in the school, saw young Erin McLay stepping into Judy Garland’s red slippers to play the lead role of Dorothy.
Oz also starred William Stevenson as Scarecrow, Declan Dewar as the Tin Man, Lewis MacMillan as the Lion, Maria Gomez as the Wicked Witch, Ellie Morrison as Aunt Em, Christopher MacMillan as Uncle Henry and Robbie McLeod as the Wizard.

Douglas Primary head teacher Gordon Beck is no stranger to the stage – he is currently musical director with the hugely successful Shine Youth Theatre.


He said: “With amazing sets and costumes, pupils and staff worked extremely hard to create a special show for all the family to enjoy.”
