The Way of The Drum is the final show in Mugenkyo’s 20th anniversary tour.

And it’s a fitting end to the tour and a homecoming of sorts for the group, based at the Mugen Taiko Dojo, just outside Blackwood.

Miyuki Williams, of Mugenkyo, is looking forward to bringing the curtain down on the tour.

She said: “We’ve had a fantatsic tour and we can’t wait for the grand finale in Lanark.

“We’ve been up and down the country and the audiences keep growing.

“When we started 20 years ago there was very little Taiko drumming in this country but now there are smaller groups popping up all over the country.

“We also have workshops up at the Dojo four nights per week and weekend workshops with people coming from all across the country to take part in it.

“If people have not seen one of our shows before then I would say to them that they can expect a high energetic powerful performance with powerful rhythms with superb choreography; we also give people an insight into the origins of the art.”

The Mugenkyo Taiko Drummers will appear at Lanark Memorial Hall on Saturday, November 29, at 7.30pm. Tickets cost £15 (£13 concessions) and are available by calling the Memorial Hall Box Office on 01555 667999 or by logging onto the South Lanarkshire Leisure & Culture website.
