The Tiffin Cup is the annual parliamentary competition to find the best South Asian restaurant in the country.

Ten nominated restaurants will be shortlisted and invited to cook-off against each other with the winner being presented the prestigious trophy by The Speaker of the House.

Last year, Kirsten nominated The New Turban in Giffnock after an appeal for nominations on her Facebook page.

They were highly commended for their fantastic food, but just missed out on a place in the final.

Kirsten said: “The Tiffin Cup is one of the best-loved annual traditions in Westminster and I am proud to send one of our great South Asian restaurants to compete against the best in the country.

“All proceeds from this year’s Tiffin Cup are going to World Vision, which is an extremely worthwhile charity.I would encourage people to get in touch and let me know what they think is the best curry in East Renfrewshire.”
