The Lanimer Queen will be selected from P7 at Lanark Primary School.

Once chosen, the young girl will be asked to select her Chief Maids. Thereafter the other eligible schools will each select two Ladies in Waiting from their P7, or 1st year at Lanark Grammar.

In addition to the girls being selected, Lanark Primary will also be selecting two boys from P7, as Crown Bearer and Proclaimation Bearer, and two boys from P2 as Page Boys.

Kirkfieldbank, New Lanark, St Mary’s and Robert Owen Primarys will also select either one or two boys from P7, depending on the school allocation this year. Lanark Grammar will select 7 boys from S1-S3.

All consent forms include various conditions, including when children should be available and what is expected of them.

The Lanimer Queen must be resident within a three-mile radius, as the crow flies, from St Nicholas Church Door.
