5. Paisley
A view of the High Street in Paisley as it was in 1937. The town has a lot going on its own right - a thriving music scene, a university, and great hospitality - not to mention how quickly you can get into Glasgow and back.
6. Motherwell
Motherwell boasts a country park and Scotland's only theme park right on its doorstep, alongside great access to the M8, and great bus & rail links into Glasgow.
7. Hamilton
Hamilton, similar to Motherwell, has great access to the M8, its own bus station and two train stations with direct links to Glasgow. It also has a lot going on its own right, with a thriving hospitality scene.
8. Giffnock
Giffnock is a great spot for the more cash-rich among us - with some of the best schools in the country - alongside some great hospitality spots and links into Glasgow!
