Horse and carriage show comes to Biggar

A two day horse carriage driving show and fun weekend will be held at Biggershiels Farm on the outskirts of the town and it promises to be a tremendous event for all the family.

She said: “There are several showing classes which are based on several criteria, including the horse or pony moves and its paces, its behaviour and manners, the type and style of carriage and harness and how clean the horse or pony, carriage and harness is. Even the dress of the driver and groom are all taken into account.

“Driving is for all ages, from children right up to older retired people.”

The horse drawn carriage show will take place at Biggarshiels Farm, Biggarshiels Road, on Saturday, June 28, from 8am and Sunday, June 29, from 9am.
