Lanark Junior Panto present Aladdin 2013 Slideshow

The youngsters – from local primary schools and Lanark Grammar – fantastically illustrated the classic tale of Aladdin (Hope Forrest) and his brave bid to escape from the Cave of Jewels where he’s been trapped by the evil Abanazzer (Alyx Mackie).

Although Aladdin has fallen in love with Princess Jasmine (Kerry Noble), there seems to be no way that the Emperor (Cameron Snell) will allow any romance to blossom.

All alone, Aladdin tries to clean the golden lamp and out pops the not so traditional Genie (Heather Murray).

Things go pear-shaped for Aladdin when his mum Widow Twanky (Blair Hannah) is arrested.

Aladdin will be staged at Lanark Memorial Hall this Friday and Saturday, October 4 and 5. Doors open at 6.30pm for a 7pm start on both nights, with tickets available for £8 or £6 concessions by calling 01555 667999.
