The once-in-a-lifetime encounter for Valerie Barr happened at the Scottish Business Awards in Edinburgh where the man who was once the most powerful human being on the planet was the guest of honour.

Valerie was there as a nominee for Scottish Female Entrepreneur of the Year, an award she just narrowly missed scooping for herself and her firm, the Hope Street-based Executive Benefit Services (UK) Ltd., of which she is managing director.

Said Valerie after meeting the ex-president: “You could tell by the way he handled the question-and-answer session afterwards why he gained a reputation as such a great politician.”
