Lanarkshire Art and Photography Expo 2013

THERE was more than just one competition result at the Lanarkshire Art and Photography Expo on Sunday.

And the one most of the camera clubs were interested in was judged by Karen Berry from Edinburgh Photographic Society.

Ten of the 12 Lanarkshire camera clubs taking part in the event at the Agricultural Centre had entered eight prints each for judging in the second Lanarkshire Print Exhibition.

Beating event organisers Clydesdale Camera Club – by just two points – Carluke Camera Club members lifted the impressive trophy.

After months of organising, a tired but jubilant John Zawadzki – Clydesdale Camera Club president – said: “I was very pleased with the turnout and the support we received from camera clubs, artists and local businesses alike.

“The quality of the prints and art works on display shows that there is a lot of talent here in Lanarkshire.”
