Scotland’s Festival of History, which was formerly held at Lanark Racecourse, takes place at Chatelherault Country Park near Hamilton over the weekend of August 17 and 18.
The festival, now one of the UK’s leading historical events, takes visitors on a unique trip through history, from the days of the Iron Age Caledonians and Romans right through to the two World Wars.

More than 100 historic tents will house living history displays, while elsewhere the grounds will echo to the long forgotten sound of battle, from sword and spear to muskets and cannon.
