Lesmahagow lad Scott Brindley works on Marvel film

A LESMAHAGOW lad is quite literally reaching for the stars by working on Marvel’s latest blockbuster Guardians of the Galaxy.

University of Bolton Special Effects Development graduate Scott Brindley is now working at Framestore, a digital effects studio with offices in London, Montreal, New York and Los Angeles.

He said: “I would definitely say that I’m a fan of the Marvel movie universe so it’s really amazing to be working on a part of it.”

Framestore’s credits include numerous feature films as well as BAFTA and Oscar nominations for its work on recent hit, Gravity, in addition to working on the acclaimed Marvel films.

Guardians of the Galaxy will be the 10th film released in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and centres around a group of inter-galactic heroes fighting a cosmic threat.
