Let’s do the Time-Warp again...

MADNESS takes its toll at the King’s Theatre this week — so prepare for the Time Warp.

It could only be one musical: yes, The Rocky Horror Show arrives from outer space, bringing with it a host of stage and screen stars, songs guaranteed to get you dancing and just a hint of sexiness (oh, all right...a whole heap of it).

Richard O’Brien’s cult classic has been going strong since 1973, and this latest incarnation is a new production by Christopher Luscombe, to celebrate its 40th anniversary.

West end star Oliver Thornton takes on the roll of Dr Frank ‘n’ Furter (following in footsteps of everyone’s favourite transvestite, Tim Curry), and joining him as the perfect creation, Rocky, is X Factor finalist turned musical man, Rhydian.

Soap star Roxanne Pallett is our Janet; one half of a squeaky clean couple (the other is Brad) who seek refuge with the doctor when their car breaks down — and end up with a night they’ll never forget.

Expect stockings and suspenders galore from the stage, and perhaps one or two outrageous outfits from the audience too: after all, Rocky Horror shows are famed for their party-loving crowds.

Above all, expect more than a few naughty bits thrown in — don’t say you weren’t warned.

n The Rocky Horror Show is on at the King’s February 25 – March 2. Performances 8pm Mon-Thurs, and 5.30 and 8.30pm Fri-Sat. Tickets £10-£32, from 0844 871 7648.
