New Lanark appeals for volunteers

New Lanark was recently ranked as one of the top 20 visitor attractions in Scotland and staff want you to be involved with the World Heritage Site.

New Lanark Trust is looking for individuals to volunteer in a number of interesting roles.

An example of why volunteers are so important to the site was the recent Great Tapestry of Scotland exhibition.

A team of 30 volunteers also contributed to the fantastic success of the which drew over 13,000 visitors to New Lanark.

“The running of the Great Tapestry of Scotland exhibition wouldn’t have been possible without our great team of volunteers,” said New Lanark heritage manager Jane Masters.

“We hope that many others will take up the chance to be involved with New Lanark and contribute to the development of our wonderful site.”
