The very varied mix of bands will be hoping to be basking in the sun in Robert Owen’s Garden on Saturday, June 27.

And organisers are hoping that, unlike Scotland’s biggest festival, T in the Park, Live at New Lanark will have held in such glorious weather, you won’t have to take your wellies with you!

“Live at New Lanark is shaping up to be a brilliant event,” said New Lanark heritage manager Jane Masters.

“The line-up is really diverse, from folk groups to 80’s synth; there’ll be music for the whole family to enjoy!”

The majority of the acts on the bill are from across Lanarkshire including loval favourites such as Touchwood, Peacock Waters and The Jimi Anderson Group. However, there are some acts from further afield including indie rockers The Begbies, who are making waves across the Scottish music scene, singer-songwriter Sophie Rogers and Fingerhalo, a project by former Human League guitarist Jo Callis.

Other acts on the bill are M.E.G, 17-year-old singer-songwriter Robbi McFaulds, Blackthorn Buck, singer Stephen Telfer, Tanninzie, Light Arrows, indie rockers Patersani, four-piece band Kelvin and traditional group Boorach.
