New Lanark setting for new Jacobite and Redcoat battle
MEMBERS of Bonnie Prince Charlie’s Jacobites from 1745 and their Redcoat adversories will be in New Lanark on Saturday afternoon.
The Living History event will bring one of the most important conflicts in British history to life for 21st century families.
The event coincides with the World Heritage Site becoming the temporary home of the Prestonpans Tapestry, which will be in the New Lanark Institute until the middle of March.
The Living History event, featuring Jacobites and Redcoats, will be at New Lanark from 11.30am to 4pm on Saturday, February 21.
