New mum Natalie is an inspiration

A new mum’s weight has been a constant struggle, but her baby daughter has been her motivation and inspiration.

Natalie Marshall tried different diets and slimming plans before, and lost up to 7lbs, but could get no further.

After giving birth to her first child at the end of 2017, she decided to give Slimming World another go.

She said: “This time I had a bigger reason to make a go of it, and to make this time the time I got to target.

“I don’t want my daughter to have to sit in slimming groups when she is older, and I figured if I can get into the new grooves of the Slimming World plan, and learn to live healthily, then I will be teaching my daughter how to live and eat healthily!

“Also losing weight will help me be fitter and able to keep up with her as she gets older and is running about.

“My first class at the Giffnock South group run by Elaine Mackenzie in January 2018 was completely different to other classes I had been to.

“I started Slimming World weighing 13 stone, and lost three stone to reach my 10 stone target, also dropping 3 dress sizes.

“I love how the plan has allowed me to enjoy life and be a role model for my daughter teaching her how to be healthy.”

The Giffnock South Parish Church group runs every Saturday at 8am and 10am.
