The Cubs chose to clean up Overlee Playing Fields as this is a regular spot for their Cub activities, and also somewhere they like to enjoy at the weekend, as a lot of them play for their football teams there.

The Cubs collected a massive 10 full bin bags of rubbish, as well as lots of discarded metal grills and pipework, which the council agreed to uplift for them.

The local Greggs in Clarkston kindly supported this event by supplying everyone involved with sweet treats as a reward for those helping improve the area.

Cub leaders said they were extremely proud of the pack’s efforts.
