Richard Phelan, social justice manager, Woodfarm High School, said: “Woodfarm High School’s S2 pupils had an energetic afternoon at Rouken Glen Park, in the knowledge that they would be raising money for a charity which would be potentially helping their friends and neighbours.”

Russell Macmillan from ERGC, said: “It’s great to see the way our local schools like Woodfarm High, support the work of ERGoodCauses by carrying out fundraising events like this.

“When the students both read The Extra and research our charity by go onto our website www.ergoodcauses.co.uk, it helps educate them about the varying needs within our own area.

“I would like to thank the staff and pupils for their much welcomed support, and I appeal for other schools/groups and clubs to follow this excellent example.”
