Rare gig for Lanark folk singer Shelagh McDonald
ONE thing you CAN’T accuse Lanark-based folk singer Shelagh McDonald of is being in your face all the time.

In fact, next week, when she and her musical partner Nigel H Seymour go on a mini-tour of local and semi-local venues, it’ll be the first time in three DECADES that this songstress has performed in public at more than the very occasional, rare one-night gig.
As related here before, our Shelagh, due to various reasons, dropped out of the music scene when, back in the early 1970s, she was fast building a reputation as a future superstar of the then folk singer/songwriter boom.
