Scottish Reed Trio open new Biggar Music Club season

THE opening concert of the new season of Biggar Music Club features The Scottish Reed Trio.

The trio, who all studied at the Royal Society of Music and Drama in Glasgow, will perform a programme of music from the likes of Handel, Mozart, Elgar and Beethoven.

Biggar Music Club secretary Margaret Filshie said: “All three players (Catherine Earnshaw, Frances Pybus and Anthea Wood) are dedicated to high quality, inspirational concerts, and developing new and diverse audiences for live music through innovative programming and music education work.”

The concert with the Scottish Reed Trio will be presented in the Biggar Municipal Hall, on Saturday, September 28, at 8 pm.

Tickets cost £10, and will be available at the door; students and accompanied children are free.
