It returns for a weekend of cosmic discovery in association with the well-known BBC programme of the same name presented by Professor Brian Cox and Irish comedian Dara O’Briain.

This year’s event at New Lanark has been rescheduled to coincide with the BBC’s programme on TV and the next visible total solar eclipse.

After a hugely popular event last year, New Lanark staff decided to run the event over two nights so even more eager Clydesdale stargazers can get involved.

New Lanark heritage manager Jan Masters said: “It’s always a wonderful event that people of all ages enjoy.

“This year is going to be bigger than ever as we’re running over two nights and Saturday is almost sold out!”

Stargazing Live runs at New Lanark Roof Garden on Saturday, March 21, and Sunday, March 22, from 5pm to 8.30pm.

Tickets are £4 per person, and can be purchased online at www.newlanark.org, by calling 01555 661345 or email [email protected].
