Between July 5 and August 16, anyone interested is being invited to read and comment on the council’s proposals for delivering on environmental, social and economic objectives with a range of partners.

The council needs to set priorities to help it meet certain local, national and international requirements, and make efficiency savings.

While the new document focuses on corporate activities, it offers benefits not just for the council but for East Dunbartonshire’s communities and for the planet as a whole.

Councillor Alan Moir, convener of Development and Regeneration, said: “Partnership working is a fundamental part of our approach to sustainability and climate change, and will be vital to the success of this framework.

“The publication of this draft is an opportunity to re-engage with established partners and to invite the involvement of new ones.

“I hope that communities and stakeholders will welcome the opportunity to contribute to this important agenda.”
